1.A can do a piece of Work in X days and B can do the same work in 3X days. To finish the work together they take 12 days. Then what is the value of X?
Ans)
A=X days X=?
B=3X days
A+B=12 days
Take the LCM of A and B(Total units)
=3X
- Let us find the A's one days's Work = (3X/X) =3units/day
- B's one days's Work = (3X/3X) =1units/day
Now A+B's one day's Work= 3+1
= 4 units/day
- Now the value of X=(Total units/(A+B)'s one day's work)
X=4/3
